Hello everyone! I’m Tara Phelps, and I’m thrilled to share the Women in GenAI Leadership Council of Las Vegas!
My journey in the tech industry spans over 20 years, starting with my academic foundation. I hold a MSP in Technology Leadership from Georgetown University, where I focused on strategic technology implementation and entrepreneurship. This academic background laid the groundwork for my desire to develop business solutions for AI and its transformative potential.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of leading numerous technology transformation projects, from Web 2.0, cloud technology transitions to implementing SaaS solutions in Fortune 500 companies. These projects were challenging to be sure, but while they delivered significant business value, it was not accomplished without collaboration of many leaders, stakeholders and users who also transformed their way of doing business. My experience spans various industries, including healthcare, finance, and hospitality, where technology has made a tangible impact.
One of my core beliefs is that AI isn’t just about technology; it’s about creating solutions that improve our lives and businesses. I’ve always strived to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that technical solutions are both cutting-edge and practical.
As a leader, I prioritize inclusivity and empowerment. I believe in fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. This approach is crucial for the Women in GenAI Las Vegas Council. We will prioritize not just the advancement of women in our field, but supporting organizations that recognize diversity and inclusion and do so responsibly and transparently. By bringing together a community of amazing and talented women who are experts and thought leaders in our community, we seek to provide extraordinary opportunities for personal growth, professional development.

Is there any cost to join?
As we begin our Community there is no cost to apply or join. However, if you wish to sponsor or donate to our community, we are happy to discuss this option!
Do you offer virtual events?
Initially, a number of our events will be in-person. However, in the future we do plan on offering virtual events. Please sign up to provide your email address to be notified of future events.
How do I sign up for Mentoring?
Mentorship can be provided on a 1:1 basis. Please submit your application for interest, and we will work with you to identify the best mentor for your circumstances.
